Dear UEG President,

the governing board of AIGO, as member of UEG, wants to sensitise the European community of Gastroenterology to launch an urgent appeal for peace in Ukraine. We strongly reaffirm the importance of peace and dialogue as they are essential for the coexistence of peoples. Furthermore, we condemn all acts of violence and abuse of human rights and fundamental freedoms. Finally we suggest to explore the possibility to promote concrete actions in support of medical students and colleagues who are victims of this situation.
